ハンガリーの人類学者バラートシ バログ ベネデク（1870～1945）は、1914年に北海道とサハリンで民具の収集を行い、約1,000点の資料を持ち帰りました。その資料は、ブダペストの民族学博物館とドイツのハンブルク市立民族学博物館に収蔵されています。
この報告書では、ブダペストにある約300点の資料について解説しています。
